![]() ![]() This compromises your warranty, your car insurance and the chances of you surviving a broken fingernail. You have made an unauthorized modifications to a significant safety item. Now it is highly illegal to modify your car in this way here in the nanny USA. Sit in the seat and think 'what a clever boy am I' because it's now just perfect. Check periodically to make certain these fasteners are tight but not over tight.ġ2. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN or you will twist the track.ġ1. Then push the seat forward and fully tighten the front mounts. ![]() DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN or you will twist the track.ġ0. So you need to pull the rear of the seat toward you before tightening the rear seat mounts. If you lean on the seat when reaching the inboard fastener you will change the direction the seat is facing when you are sitting in it. Move the seat forward again and tighten the rear TORKs. Reinstall the TORK fasteners through the middle of the above mentioned washers but don't tighten down completely.ĩ. Lift the front of the rails and insert how any washers you guess you'd like to lift the seat.Ĩ. CAREFULLY push the seat all the way back (remember the front is unattached and the back is way loose.)ħ. They are the same length as the front ones (that's because they aren't British)Ħ. This almost exposes the two rear screws (the inboard one is a pain)…Just loosen them, say a quarter of the way out. Using the appropriate TORK head remove the two bolts holding the track to the tub. Push the seat back as far as it will go.ģ. Put the seat back in the full ahead position (like you were trying to get to the seat back pocket),Ģ. How to?ĬOVER THE SILL so you don't scratch anything!!!!!ġ. I put three quarters of an inch of lift on the front end of the track and that 'rocked' the seat back so I got the perfect (for me) cushion vs seat back angle (still) and more thigh support too. ![]() Now doing this creates all sorts of legal issues which I will not discuss here. What I have done in other cars is raised the runner track on the front edge. So I examined the possibility of removing the seat and changing the angle on the cushion but that would change the seat cushion vs the seat back. I liked the angle of the seat cushion vs the seat back but with floor mounted pedals I like to have some thigh support so there is no significant weight on my heels. Too bad the front good cannot be easily accessed, I'm sure they could've had a few cubic feet of storage for a weekend duffle. I like a good exhaust note as much as the next guy, but a little more (if any) baffling wouldn't hurt.Īesthetically the exposed microphones near the rear view mirror are such an afterthought and look silly. Other than that, I find the seats nice and firm for track driving, but agree with others that the Launch Edition suspension and exhaust are not practical for longer/city drives.Īlso the radio is pretty much useless with the exhaust, and forget about speakerphone. Perhaps even lifting the front of the seats with spacers? I am 5'-8" so the seat is not back against the engine and I wish it could recline more. It feels as if it is 90 degrees, where most people tilt their seats back at least 100 degrees.ĭoes anyone know if a notch can be added to tilt back a bit? It will feel even more erect when wearing a helmet, that would push your head forward another 1-1/2". I find that what makes the seats uncomfortable is the lack of tilt.
